Draft — pending review. This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not in force. Bracketed items such as [Operator name] are placeholders still to be filled.

Who this covers

This policy covers the reel interface at [Official domain], operated by [Operator name] (“we”). Questions go to [Contact address].

It doesn't cover your wallet app, Solana itself, block explorers you open from reel, or any token's own website. Each has its own terms.

Public chain data

reel is an interface to programs on Solana. Your wallet address, your balances and every transaction you send are public on Solana and visible to anyone, forever. We can't change or delete them, and neither can anyone else.

reel never asks for your seed phrase or private key, and never signs for you with your connected wallet: your wallet asks you to approve every transaction.

What stays in your browser

reel keeps a few things in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and aren't sent to us.

KeyWhat it holds
reel:settingsYour preferences: theme, slippage, priority fee level and preferred explorer
reel:walletWhich wallet app you connected last, so it can reconnect
reel:trading-walletOnly if you create one: a trading wallet's secret key, kept in this browser so small trades can sign without prompts
A trading wallet's key is only as safe as this browser profile. Anyone with access to the profile, or a malicious script running on this site, could read it. Keep small balances in it, and export the key before clearing site data or it is gone.

Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all three.

What our server sees

Reads from Solana go through reel's server, so the RPC key stays private. When your browser asks for chain data:

  • the server receives the request (the RPC method and its parameters, such as addresses) and passes it to [RPC provider], which answers it;
  • the server uses your IP address to limit how many requests one client can make per minute. That count is kept in memory for about a minute and isn't written to a database;
  • our hosting provider, [Hosting provider], may keep standard request logs (IP address, time, path, user agent) for [Retention period].

reel has no accounts, no profiles and no database of users. We don't collect your name or email to use the app.

Third parties

  • Your wallet app sees the transactions you approve and works under its own policy.
  • [RPC provider] receives the chain requests the server relays.
  • Block explorers you open from reel see your visit when you follow a link.
  • Fonts are served from reel's own domain; your browser doesn't fetch them from a font service.

The interface ships no analytics or advertising trackers as of this draft. If that changes, this policy changes first.

Your choices

  • Disconnect your wallet at any time from the wallet menu.
  • Clear this site's data in your browser to remove everything reel stored there.
  • For anything our server or hosting provider may hold, write to [Contact address]. Rights you may have under [Jurisdiction]'s law are listed in [Applicable rights section].

Changes

We'll date every change to this policy on this page. This draft takes effect on [Effective date], once reviewed.
